The Next Phase - Jesus in Action

Back to our tour through the Bible in less than an hour. Acts 1 begins in a curious way by stating that the first volume in the series (The Gospel of Luke) was an account of what Jesus began to do and teach. Given the reality of a resurrection, the author wrote a second book (Acts) that details what Jesus continued to do and teach through his followers.

Jesus hung around for 40 days, teaching them all the things that had puzzled them about his coming and his mission. Then, in another evidence of his divine origin, he simply ascended into the sky and vanished. But not before he told his followers that they would be his witnesses, bringing the good news about him to the whole world.

I suppose people can dismiss it as a bunch of legendary nonsense. A lot do. Maybe I should have my head read for believing it.

But once you know him, once you see him in action, the really foolish thing would be not to believe in him.
