No Gullibility Here

Nothing that lives, nothing that moves and grows is outside of the majesty of one great wonder - that it was all made by God. How could this magnificent world ever have come to be unless Someone, with a mind beyond anything we can imagine, designed it. The easy explanation that everything evolved should never be able to satisfy those who are using the brains God has given them.

The very language used in talk about evolution betrays the doubts even its supporters have about it, what with conversation about a seemingly purposeful natural selection process bringing about just those features needed for the progress of each species. How did the work of mutation, which almost always weakens a species, create the majesty we see in all life forms on earth?

We who believe in creation are not showing a mindless gullibility when say that God made the world. In the first chapter of the Book of Romans in the New Testament, we read what we already know. Speaking of humanity, in its rejection of God, it says:

For the truth about God is known to them instinctively. God has put this knowledge in their hearts. From the time the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky and all that God made. They can clearly see his invisible qualities--his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse whatsoever for not knowing God. (Romans 1:19-20).

No human being should be able to observe this world without knowing there is a Creator. If we deny it, that's a different matter. But we all start our lives with a recognition of God, because all of us have seen and heard creation bearing witness to his glorious creative wisdom.
